Sports Motorcycles Racing Harris Ducati 750 TT1 Rocker frame gas tank

Harris Ducati TT1 "Rocker arm" petrol tank with Shaw aircraft filler. Bought as a spare tank for my Harris framed Sports Motorcycles 750 TT1. Filler cap removed in preparation for the tank to be repainted... But never got round to it. One of the first tanks to use an "aircraft filler" petrol cap - it actually is an aircraft filler cap made by Shaw in the USA before Newton caught on to the future popularity of this type of cap.

This dates from about 1984 when Sports motorcycles were building Harris framed machines to race in the IoM TT in 85. Two "Rocker arm" bikes were entered for Roger Burnett & Trevor Nation. The frames are radically different to the more well known Harris TT2 frames with the cantilever rear suspension and this tank will not fit that frame - only the frame shown in the last picture.
